At Crystal Palecek Interiors, we design homes with a quiet kind of confidence—rooted in timeless design and alive to the present moment.

We begin by listening, learning the rhythms of your life, then shaping spaces that hold beauty and purpose in equal measure. Every detail is chosen with care, so your home feels effortless, enduring, and entirely your own.

Through a considered process, we translate your vision into spaces that feel natural, enduring, and quietly refined.

Crystal Palecek

Principal Interior Designer

I believe the beauty of thoughtful design is not a luxury—it’s essential. It shapes how we live, guides how we feel, and opens our eyes to what’s possible.

After graduating from Tufts University, I spent three years in Italy. There, I learned that true beauty lives in the smallest details—the ones that make a house feel instinctively like home.

In 2010, I co-founded Rue Magazine, a design publication that soon drew the attention of The New York Times' style section in a four-page feature. While Rue refined my editorial eye, I’ve always been most at home—and most myself—when breathing life into a room.

Today, through Crystal Palecek Interiors, I create homes that speak quietly but with conviction—spaces that hold beauty, purpose, and the life of the people within them.

My path has taken me from Seattle to Boston, Rome, Chicago, and San Francisco, and now to Marin County—where I am reminded daily that the most meaningful spaces are the ones we return to.
